Thane is committed to helping cooperative boards achieve excellence by improving relationships within the board, and between the board and the cooperative’s general manager, members, and external stakeholders. She is particularly interested in the ways that Policy Governance™ allows boards to create structures that support them in focusing on the prospective work of governing their cooperatives. She works with boards through all phases of their development.
“I enjoy the interplay of people and politics with food and community, and working to shift and improve those relationships,” Thane says. “I am very excited about the efforts of NCGA and CDS in developing a broader network of cooperatives and building community not only within but among cooperatives.”
