As part of their Cooperative Technical Assistance Program (CTAP), the City of Minneapolis has contracted with CDS to offer a class for groups interested in creating a cooperative business or converting an existing business to a cooperative model. The class will equip the participants with tools to evaluate their co-op idea and/or to refine their model for those that are already in the process of incorporation. This class is not designed for housing cooperatives.
The class will meet virtually by Microsoft Teams from 5:00-800pm each Wednesday in April (April 7, 14, 21, 28). There is no cost to participate but participants should be groups seeking to either start a cooperative in Minneapolis, or to convert a Minneapolis business to cooperative ownership. For more information about the class, go to www2.minneapolismn.gov/government/programs-initiatives/b-tap/c-tap/ or contact the CTAP coordinator, Emily Peterson, Emily.Peterson@minneapolismn.gov.
