This One-of-a Kind Conference Brings Together Experts, Co-ops
Excitement continues to grow in anticipation of the 20th Senior Housing Cooperative Conference, hosted by Cooperative Development Services and the Senior Cooperative Foundation. It is taking place at the DoubleTree Hotel-Minneapolis South in Bloomington, Minnesota on May 31st-June 1st. The national gathering is the only of its kind, bringing together senior housing co-ops’ board members, co-op residents, managers, and professionals working with co-ops from across the nation to learn from a wide variety of experts and share knowledge among one another.
This year’s event resumes in-person, as well as a virtual option, and brings forward a robust agenda, including discussing replacement and supplemental reserves, Senior Housing Demographics, SCH Purchasing Co-op, Aging in Place, Fair Housing, and a discussion on electric vehicles and charging stations. The ever-popular Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Q&A session panel, as well as the legal panel, and maintenance panel, will once again provide the opportunity for attendees to inquire directly with professionals on topics affecting their respective housing communities.
This year attendees may visit with trusted, vetted vendors of interest to the industry. The awards banquet also includes the puzzle exchange, and silent auction benefiting the Senior Cooperative Foundation.
Please note: This year you may choose to register to attend in-person or virtually. Each person attending virtually must register individually. Cost is the same either way. Registration fees are detailed on the registration form. Either fee includes a resource notebook and speaker fees. In-person attendance also includes continental breakfasts, lunches, breaks and the social. Virtual attendance costs also incudes transmitting the conference content.
Attendees in-person also have the opportunity to visit with trusted, vetted vendors of interest to the industry. The awards banquet, puzzle exchange, and silent auction benefiting the Senior Cooperative Foundation, also returns.
Below you can download a PDF of the conference agenda, registration form with fee schedule as well as detailed hotel information. You can also use this link to reserve a hotel room: https://bit.ly/2023SeniorHousingCoopConferenceHotel. Contact Vicky if at any time the block states it is full, I will see if I can secure additional rooms if necessary.
We strongly encourage you to register online.
Each attendee will need to register separately and use their own email address. If a manager wants to register the full board, that works, you just use the individual email addresses and ask each attendee to forward their confirmation email with the billing details included at the bottom. The co-op can still cut one check for all fees, and use this as backup as needed. Or this can also be used for individuals/organizations processing their own fees. If you want to include in the memo line information to help us appropriately account for individual checks, please do so.
