At its 2024 annual conference this June, the Consumer Co-op Management Association (CCMA) awarded CDS with its prestigious Innovation and Achievement Award.
We were particularly recognized for:
- Contributions to food co-ops, including creating and testing the “Four Cornerstones in Three Stages of Development” model for food co-op development which has been successfully used to open 175 food co-ops nationwide in the past 20 year
- Contributing to the creation of Food Co-op Initiative
- Creating innovative programming for small (particularly rural) grocery co-ops
- Creating a program of fiscal sponsorship for co-ops that has brought over $3 million in charitable capital into the co-op community in the last three years.
