CDS was privileged to participate in two 2026 Co-op Days at the Capitol events organized by Cooperative Network, first in Wisconsin and most recently in Minnesota. Cory Neeley represented CDS in Madison this past February.

And just two weeks ago, Char Vrieze and Leslie Watson were in St. Paul for a day of meeting with legislators to share information about our favorite topic. CDS board members Marty Walsh of People’s Energy Co-op, and Sadie Frerics of Land O’Lakes were among the large group of cooperators who attended, representing a wide range of sectors. A major highlight was the opportunity for us to join a group of co-op colleagues to testify at an informational hearing before the Senate Labor Committee on the power and potential of employee ownership.
