Inspired by the United Nations declaring 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives, and led by the reinvigorated CoMinnesota, cooperators across Minnesota are coming together to hold the first Minnesota Cooperative Summit, July 29-30 at the University of Minnesota Morris.
Aimed at bringing together those across the co-op spectrum, from longtime cooperators to those simply exploring what cooperatives are, the Summit aims to invite impactful ideas, foster valuable connections, and explore practical solutions. The event will showcase how cooperatives are shaping stronger communities—locally and globally.
With nearly 40 speakers (including our own executive director Leslie Watson), hands-on sessions, and thought-provoking discussions, the Summit will offer something for everyone—from seasoned cooperators to newcomers eager to learn.
The event will wrap up with a closing reception co-sponsored by CDS, celebrating the 40th anniversary of CDS—complete with cake and refreshments in a nod to our 40th anniversary!
Thanks to overwhelming interest, tickets are currently sold out. A waitlist is available for those who still wish to attend. Learn more about the event!
