GreenTree Grocery Cooperative in Mount Pleasant MI broke ground in May for what will be the biggest downtown development in Mt. Pleasant in decades. The co-op will expand and relocate from its current 2500 sq. ft. store to a new 10,000 sq. ft. downtown location, occupying the street level of a new building with over 30 units of workforce affordable housing above. They are also planning to add 15-20 new living wage jobs with competitive benefits.
GreenTree has raised $650,000 to date, and the Cooperative Development Fund of CDS is pleased to be their fiscal agent for charitable donations and grants to support their new store.
