November 17th is “Give to the Max Day” (GTMD) in Minnesota. GTMD is a statewide collective effort bringing an outpouring of support for thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota.
The mission of the Cooperative Development Fund of CDS is to help start and grow cooperative enterprises. We achieve it by educating about cooperatives, providing guidance to new and existing cooperatives, and by helping co-ops access philanthropic resources in their communities through grant writing and charitable contributions. In each of the last four years, the work of our staff has touched over 100 co-ops and a dozen startups in some meaningful way.
This year for GTMD, our aim is to fully pay for one hour of business counseling to a co-op is $85. For 2023, we will put emphasis on communities using worker ownership and community ownership to retain small businesses.
Our goal is to raise $3,400 or more to fund a minimum of 20+ hours of free consultation time for start-up cooperatives. Please help us achieve this goal by donating here today! You can also donate outside of GTMD at the above link anytime. Thank you in advance!
