CDS is proud to be a long-standing partner with the city in developing a cooperative “how-to” course, additional learning opportunities, and providing technical assistance to those who are exploring in creating or transitioning a current business to a co-op. Worker Cooperative Conversion: Experience and Lessons Learned

Company Manager, Employee Owner, and founder of Twin Cities based Terra Firma Construction and Remodeling, Marty Ruddy will share his company’s story on conversion to worker-ownership. Marty, previously the sole owner of the business, will describe his journey of learning about worker co-ops, and his motivation and journey for transitioning his business into an extremely successful cooperative.

The class prepares participants with tools to evaluate their co-op idea and/or to refine their model for those that are already in the process of incorporation.
